Absolutely gutted for John, Phil, Jim and everyone else who has tried so hard to get this meeting to happen against all the odds. Yes, I’m a bookmaker who wanted a day at the races, but that comes way behind all of the other people who have put so much into this venture. The weather is such a cruel thing to the sport we love.
