Having now completed 6 meetings this season I believe 230 horses have run over the 36 scheduled races (including 2 void) giving a field size average of 6.4 runners.
There were 5 completed meetings to this point last season and the 185 runners created a field size average of 6.2 runners.
The 230 runners resulted from 294 individual horses being entered (thanks to Hellenic's weekly analysis of duplicated entries), giving a turnout of 78%. That figure has been in the range of 76-82% each of the 4 weekends.
To complete the picture the 294 horses entered generated 340 individual entries, hence 14% of the total entries to date have been duplicated for the weekend in question.

Brilliant stats. Encouraging to see a bit of improvment in field sizes. I cant, off the top of my head, remember what the weather was like at the start of last season and whether that might affect the numbers.
