To date there have been 33 meetings this season, with 209 races drawing 2496 entries and 1612 runners.
The runners to entries ratio has nudged up to 64.6% (63.5% to end of Jan) no doubt in part due to the limited number of meetings run at the beginning of February.
The average field size also ticked up to 7.7 runners from 7.5 runners to January, with an average of 8.1 runners at the meetings run over the last 4 weekends.
Compared to last season there have now been 4 fewer meetings and 27 less races resulting in 158 fewer runners. This time last year the average field size was 7.5 runners.
