GRAFTON POINT-TO-POINT – EDGCOTE – SUNDAY 17TH MAY – First Race 2.00
Organisers are looking forward to the Grafton point-to-point at Edgcote on Sunday week and are hoping for a good entry and the usual big attendance.

The ground is going to be well-watered, to encourage plenty of runners and – with the East Anglia, Midlands and Yorkshire seasons now finished, we are hoping that participants come from neighbouring areas. We will be presenting an embroidered rug to the horse that has travelled the furthest, and a magnum of champagne to its owner.
The six races include the PPORA Novice Riders Championship Final, one of the highest value races in the country, with £1,000 to the winner and £1,700 in total prize money. Runners are to be owned by current PPORA members and jockeys must have finished in the first four in any PPORA race this season to be eligible to ride.
In addition to the racing, there will plenty of entertainment for the crowd. Alongside the usual food outlets and shopping opportunities, there will be live music in the bar, a family dog show, vintage tractor display, children’s corner and hound parade before racing.
