- Postings from the South Midlands PRO and PPORAIn PtP & Hunter Chase discussion19 February 2025Becky Pugh's dead-heat on Doc Carver at Chipley Park was probably unique in the annals of pointing. Find out why Main photo c. Tim Holt31
- Caradoc TodayIn PtP & Hunter Chase discussion22 February 2025And Ryan's horse one of ye easiest Eider winners I've seen..... looked like it had just jumped in turning for home after 3 1/2 miles and could have gone round again. I've heard rumours that there is a very talented fence builder and divot treader at Caradoc who is key to the continued sucesses😉11
- Six meetings over the coming weekend. In PtP & Hunter Chase discussion22 February 2025I may go north to Alnwick, south to Garthorpe ( most likely) or I may end up having a day at home. If I do get anywhere and in the absence of any other volunteers, I should be able to oblige.11

- Riders and Races in North HertfordshireIn PtP & Hunter Chase discussion17 February 2025I don't think there are any races in Hertfordshire anymore. Have you looked on Go Pointing - https://gopointing.com/fixtures/ and / or Weatherby's https://www.pointtopoint.co.uk/index/guide-to-ptp If you have a specific query I can try to find out?12
- Our race at LeicesterIn PtP & Hunter Chase discussion14 February 2025Many thanks to Gordon for organizing. Another great day out. I think Leicester is a very much under appreciated track. Deserves far bigger crowds.31
- Ludlow Hunterchase sponsored by usIn PtP & Hunter Chase discussion·3 February 2025Looking forward to Ludlow on Wednesday. Not just the hunterchase but a wedding fair as well 😜 Gordon you are spoiling us. Given the drying conditions over the past couple of days and Ludlow's free drainage I suspect the ground will be good to soft with maybe the odd soft patch. Dry day on Wednesday so by last race it is likely to be quicker than official going. 5 declarations is a tad disappointing but never the less it is an intriguing little race with plenty of question marks. In fact any permutation of result is feasible. 1 Frere D' Arms Guess the big issue is the trip..?? Its always been campaigned as if it needed shorter. Ludlow isn't the stiffest track but with 4 to jump in the relatively short home straight you need a little bit left in the tank. Guess Heidi would like a tactical race with a bit of a sprint over the last half mile. 2 Enrillo Arguably the class act but its been a long time since it got its head in front. Never really fulfilled its promised but connections have doggedly kept the faith and...... second run since wind op! Small field hunter chase might just perk him up! 3 Jimmy the Digger Dour stayer who is at his best passing tiring horses up the hill at Cheltenham and not blessed with a great deal,of tactical speed. Everything Henry Dale runs at Ludlow tends to get backed so likely to be shorter odds than it should be. Jockey is a local lad who works for Henry so lucky to have such a genuine schoolmaster. Possibly the one to pick up any prices if the race falls apart. 4 Percussion Possibly the one likely to run closest to its mark and no issues with track or trip. Presumably owner will take over the ride at some point? 5 Missed Tee Has a lot to find on ratings and hasn't faced 3 miles for over 4 years. Still connections know what they are doing and have a great track record with ex Skelton horses. We've seen plenty of 150 horses turned over on their hunterchase debuts but my gut says that Enrillo has the class to win this with Percussion following him home. But as stated in the beginning I wouldn't be that suprised if any of the 5 won this, let's hope they all stand their ground and give us some sort of betting market.512271
- Our race at LeicesterIn PtP & Hunter Chase discussion13 February 2025Luca has just told me that an Exeter Hunter Chase and then Punchestown is the plan although he will get an entry at Leicester in a couple of weeks given the prize money on offer. I honestly think thats the best hunter chase performance either side of the Irish Sea this season.21

- A new partnership for pointingIn PtP & Hunter Chase discussion·11 February 2025Having seen a number of high profile national sponsors move on to other things it’s good to see Izuzu coming on board. https://x.com/isuzuuk/status/1889338213233271019?s=46&t=ilTwEdYPgB8AgJcMTT9pMw13156
- The forumIn PtP & Hunter Chase discussion·8 February 2025Think we are getting some good content on here now ( odd idiot excepted). Howver I am struggling with the layout and find it hard to find posts that are not the 3 most recent, Had to turn notifications off once the competition started as my in box became swamped. So not always able to see if someone has commented on a previous comment. Also haven't quite got my head around why some stuff goes into members private chit-chat and other stuff goes into general discussion? Given that I am arguably one of the more enthusiastic participants i cant help but feel that many casual visitors are missing some interesting stuff. Would have added this to the post of a few days ago but couldn't find it🤔17236

- Wetherby Hunter ChaseIn PtP & Hunter Chase discussion·31 January 2025Interesting to hear peeps thoughts on this one. Personally I feel Jet Plane should win this but if the 6/5 - Evs is anticipated then I couldn't touch it with the Jock thats booked. The most feared are then all around 4/1 so not much each way value imo.119329

- Chipley Park resultsIn PtP & Hunter Chase discussion8 February 2025DEAD HEAT! Fighter Allen (Rian Corcoran) almost made all and looked likely to win like a long odds on shot should but Aran McManus on call Simon, riding his first winner, never gave up and caught the favourite on the line. 6.42 For what it’s worth, and I was just past the line, it looked like fighter Allen had held on21
