Doncaster Sales
A few snippets from Doncaster.
Bardenstown Lad not sold at £12K
Saunton Surf who was previously the record breaking point mare at £175K in 2023 let go for the princely sum of £8K
Garthorpe runner up in the Congo sold for £15K which seemed cheap?
Pointinb syndicate Hexham winner led out of ring at £30K!
Aintree bumper winner sold for £55K probably about the right price.
All in there doesn't appear to be much of an appetite for young English pointers with a few being let go for less than they would have cost as stores. Has the bubble burst?

Not having a good eye ( for a horse anyway) and rarely being blessed with luck i'd have no chance. I can appreciate the ones who do though. With regards to Alex Wilson who owns and trains today's Cartmel winner. I have known his dad Cooper (who bought the mare) for a very long time and he'll be every bit as clever a man with a horse as jayjay.
