Val Dancer to Parade at Chaddesley Corbett
Welsh National winner Val Dancer (pictured right) will be parading before racing tomorrow, Sunday 29th December, at the Harkaway Club point-to-point and organisers are hoping that the race trophy will be on display.
Racegoers wanting to see the local hero should make sure they are by the paddock at 10.15.
Val Dancer yesterday provided a biggest career success for Mel Rowley, who trains at Morville near Bridgnorth and her husband - former champion point-to-point trainer Phil - will have two runners at Chaddesley Corbett.
While jockey Charlie Hammond, another local to Chaddesley Corbett, will be riding at Doncaster, his parents - licensed trainer Mike and Zoe - will be acting as starters at the point-to-point, with sister Lucy in charge of the recall flag.
After racing, Val Dancer will be going back to Morville for a well-deserved "duvet day".
