CHELTENHAM PRIZE MONEY/RANT
seems very little increase(or the same) in Prize money this year?,
No big sponser??...on good /soft I guess as they will need to water like hell this week.
Names of some of the races total rubbish (apart from Jonathens)
£25 on the gate & £4 for a raecard (only cards taken)
lots of young people going to see the Chip Shop Boys whoever they are....
Think I will give it a miss (only been once since they moved to a Friday)
especially with the Silly season already started... on the M5 motorways etc
(lots of grockles heading home or to the Westcountry...mmm)
stay at home watch the replays on Jockey Club web page & go the wonderful Flete Park on Saturday..

Just for the record I certainly intend to carry on raising money for Hunterchase’s next season which by the way has grown each year with your very generous support from 4 the first season, 7 the next and with a bit of help this year a magnificent 8 !! this season.
As for Cheltenham I will not be contacting them for 2026 as I feel 3 years of trying is enough, if someone else with more power than me wishes to try please contact me but Cheltenham as far as I am concerned can contact me should they wish to have a race sponsored although they have probably binned my number 🙂
