ESSEX & SUFFOLK MEETING AT HIGHAM ON GOOD FRIDAY APRIL 18th
The last chance to go racing in East Anglia this season, so a great opportunity to meet up with friends and family.
HIGHAM RACECOURSE officials want to keep everybody informed on the lead up to the meeting and this is the current situation:-
“We are busy getting the course ready for the Good Friday 18th April race meeting.
The course inspector has recommended the following plan as a proposal to get the ground ready to make it safe. The clerk of the course and his team have already moved all the bends onto fresh ground, all the divots have been filled and rolled and there is a good covering of grass on all parts of the course. We plan to use an Aerator and will be watering thereafter. We will keep monitoring the ground to provide the best racing surface that we can.”
Adult discounted tickets priced at £13 are available until midnight on Thursday 17th April. Gate price, on the day, £15 ( cash only ). Children 16 and under enter free. Dogs on short leads , please.

The Good Friday Meeting is usually very busy, so we advise getting there early. Gates open at 10am and there's loads going on to entertain the whole family; pony races, stalls, licensed bar, trade stands, funfair, hound parade, dog show as well as six point- to-point races.
On- course attractions start from 12pm including pony racing with the first of six steeplechases at 2.10pm
