Stratford is the main meeting tomorrow yet all the Post have given it is a couple of lines from Joe. Even the point column doesn’t even mention it and instead we have an interview with bloody Dido Harding! That column should have been all about Stratford and celebrating what should be a great evening

I'm afraid there wasn't really any prospect of me doing the entire card unless it had cut up even more significantly numerically, as ongoing Day Job and intensifying family commitments mean I can only offer to work half shifts (~30 runners) for a few days each month (and can no longer do post-race analysis work either, that gig having recently come to an end after sixteen enjoyable years).
I was just delighted to get any of Stratford this evening, in truth, just as I was to get the Dunraven Bowl the other week. I'll have a crack at pretty much anything.
I just hope that from whichever cloud he's looking down from us all on, Jonathan isn't reading my copy with his head in his hands. Certainly adding the historical context wherever possible was done with the great man in mind, and I'm very happy indeed that the subeditors kept it all in.
