Six race cards
I wondered what peoples thoughts were on all fixtures only being able to schedule 6 races on a card this season? Will attendees feel short-changed? Surely those area/meetings that typically had strong field sizes could’ve ran 7 races.

Of the four meetings that scheduled 7 races last season that I went to, this is how they have reduced to 6 races:
Harkaway removed L2 Conditions that drew 13 runners - not an easy choice as all their races drew good sized fields.
Thurlow have removed two all aged maidens that drew 22 runners and replaced them with one young horse maiden - might be explained by 14 of the 22 having been 4 or 5 year olds.
Suffolk removed the L3 Conditions that drew 3 runners - sensible.
Bicester removed the mares maiden that drew 5 runners - sensible as they still retain 2 further maidens.
