Lack of runners /to many meetings
no talk on here , guess the seasons going well.!!.. apart from the void races & loads of matches, meetings with an ave of 23 runners (if your lucky).. of course massive crowds due to the Blue mic brigade.. guess we will struggle on for the next 8 weeks

Not so bad north of the Humber. Sheriff Hutton at Easter had 48 runners. Only two of those (both from Fran and Charlie Poste) were travellers from out of the area. The other 46 were all locals.
I did some rough (ish) working out yesterday and the average number of runners per race so far this season in Yorkshire is running at around 7.3. That's not to say everything is rosy but we're faring better than most.
