I make it that 1009 horses have run in points to date this season, out of 1588 entries at the meetings that have taken place. Giving a turnout % to date of 63.5% (down from 66% at the end of December).

To date there have been 22 meetings with 135 races producing a ytd average of 7.5 runners per race (slightly down from 7.7 at December).

Coincidently there had been 22 meetings by this point last year, with 1060 runners across 145 races producing an average of 7.3 runners per race.

So we are seeing slightly fewer horses running in slightly fewer races producing a small increase in the number of runners per race.
