The Morris Brother's Hunterchase Competition 2026 (Formerly Gordon's Famous Competition)

We are pleased to announce that once again this forum will be hosting the annual Morris Brother's sponsored Hunter Chase competition. On course layer Tony Morris has very generously provided the main competition prizes. Fellow point-to-point bookmaker Churchill Star has kindly provided prizes again for both the most winners and the biggest priced placed horse selected ew in the competition.

Harley John has matched his previous year's welcome provision of a liquid prize for the biggest priced winner.

And the competition would not be complete without Maggies Last (place) Trophy for the competitor completing the season in the final position..

The rules and format for 2026 will be very similar to this year, with exact details provided closer to the anticipated kick off at Taunton on 7th January.

One change for 2026 is that Gordon will be enjoying a lighter campaign with the backroom calculations and maintenance of the league tables being picked up by ManOfEurope.

We'd love to attract more entrants for 2026, so if you have enjoyed playing in the past please enter again by responding to this post. If you have not tried before, have a go in 2026, it's free to enter, with generous prizes and above all else a chance to have some fun!

The reason MoE is the main man this year is that I was 75 this year and I feel the need for a younger person to take the reigns and for me to act as his wingman as I would love for this competition to be going after I am gone in twenty years time as some sort of legacy for you all to remember me by 😇.

All the decision will be made by MoE and his answers will be final.

ENTRIES WILL CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT 31/12/25

This is to give us time to sort out the spreadsheets at our leisure before the first Hunterchase.
