Hunter certificates
Currently going through the process of registering a hunters certificate. Costs over £300, of which £180 goes to a hunt which i may or may not have any connection with.
Given that hunting is in a bad place and everyone agrees that the only way forward for the sport is to encourage and develop club meetings........
Wouldn't it be a sensible idea to have the option of donating that £180 to one of the clubs that run a point to point meeting?
Apart from ruffling the feathers of those deluded folks at the BHSA, it would ensure the money went back into pointing and create some really positive PR that would score lots of brownie points with the BHA.

I think its a sensible suggestion and has merit. Its likely to be where we end up in a few years time so why not introduce the option now. All owners paying £180 to support either the hunt or the club that puts on a point to point meeting.
I find it hard to justify the £180 going to a hunt that no longer feels able or willing to support a point to point, under the current system I assume that does happen?
